Initially, CDL chose Hiboo to centralize the tracking of machine usage hours and location on a single platform.
This centralization allows them to streamline machine transport, securely share usage data, and provide their clients with environmental reporting. Before Hiboo, billing for contract overrun hours was time-consuming and difficult to implement.
More recently, Hiboo developed specific alerts enabling CDL to efficiently manage the billing of machine usage hours outside of contract terms.

To address these challenges, CDL chose Hiboo to:
Hiboo alerts make it possible to monitor usage during periods declared as “site shutdown” (e.g., bad weather). These alerts enabled CDL to recover the largest loss of revenue by billing days that had been reported as shutdowns even though the machines were ultimately used.
1. Secured billing of off-contract usage
+100 hours per month recovered and billed thanks to contract overrun alerts.
€125K in revenue recovered in 2025 thanks to the detection of machine activity during declared site shutdown days.
2. Operational efficiency and agency adoption
A single platform, clear alerts, and automated data sharing simplify the daily work of teams, improving responsiveness and reliability.
3. Enhanced customer experience
Clients can easily access their machine usage data, fostering trust, better control over equipment usage, and ultimately helping reduce the carbon footprint of their construction sites.
Comptoir de Location (CDL), the 4th largest equipment rental company in France, rents its machines through a network of agencies and franchisees covering the entire country. The company operates a fleet of 15,000 machines and generated €80M in revenue in 2024.
